Overview
Lip blush tattoo is a cosmetic procedure that implements color into the lips. It's an ideal procedure for those who want to enhance their natural lip color, have lips lacking in color, desire a new shade, or are tired of constant lipstick application. It’s also suitable for those with lip scars or those who have experienced color changes due to sun exposure.
During the procedure, pigment is applied to the lips using needles. Unlike traditional tattoos, which penetrate deeper into the skin, lip blush tattoos are applied at a shallower depth, causing the color to gradually fade over time.

Duration and Maintenance
Results from a lip blush tattoo will generally fade over time, but the exact duration varies by individual. Most clients will require a touch-up about six weeks after the initial session to achieve the desired longevity. While some clients are satisfied after just one session, it is normal for a portion of the pigment—typically 20-30%—to fade or be rejected initially. Afterwards, clients usually come in for a annual or two years touch up.
Initial Appointment
The first appointment primarily focuses on layering color. Most clients prefer a subtle enhancement rather than a bold change, aiming for a natural look that subtly improves their existing lip color.

At the beginning of the appointment, we discuss your desired results and set clear expectations. I then draw the proposed lip shape, staying within the natural lip line. Since facial and lip skin heal differently, I avoid overlining the lips. I use a white pencil to outline the shape, which helps us clearly see the lip color. You’ll have the chance to review and approve the shape before we select the final color.
Color Selection
Choosing the right color involves swatching several options on your skin. We will discuss which hues complement your skin tone and natural lip color. Because pigment and skin tones interact differently, the

same color may look different on you compared to someone else.
Procedure
Once the shape and color are finalized, I numb your lips for about 10 minutes to ensure comfort throughout the procedure. The actual tattooing process takes around one hour. Most clients experience only mild discomfort, describing it as more annoying than painful. While pain is rare, some skin irritation and discomfort post-procedure are normal.

At the end of the appointment, we take a 10-minute break to allow the pigment to settle into the lips. Once we resume, I'll make any necessary touch-ups, and then the procedure will be complete.
Before you leave, I will explain the aftercare instructions to ensure everything is fresh in your mind. You will also receive an aftercare package with written guidelines to help you maintain your results and ensure proper healing.
